About Itty Bawa

Itiafa Akerejola, also known as Itty Bawa, is a British-Nigerian Presenter, Award-Winning Pageant Queen and Analyst. She gained recognition after representing Nigeria in the 2022 Miss Pride of Africa UK (MPOAUK) pageant, where she made a significant impact and she is currently a Finalist and Ambassador for Miss Nigeria UK. Beyond her success in pageantry, Itiafa is also deeply involved in community service and has a keen interest in cultural, financial and queer inclusion.

In addition to her achievements, she plays a significant role at Amazon as an ERG (Employee Resource Group) leader, where she actively supports the company's Black Employee Network in the UK. She is involved in strategy formulation, budget proposals, and developing relationships on behalf of the network.

Her interest in using her voice to make an impact led her to compete in prestigious London-based beauty pageant Miss Pride of Africa, where she took Nigeria to the top by winning four titles: People's Queen, Second Princess, Best Swimwear and Ambassador 22/23. Itty did not stop there.

1. She was awarded the Resilience Award by the Black History Youth Awards (2023) as a person who has gone on to achieve beyond expectations.
2. She is now a UN Women UK Delegate to the 68th Commission on the Status of Women (CSW68).
3. The People's Queen Speaks (TPQS) is her online talkshow; having real conversation with real people to shed light on their personal inspirational stories, business start-up history, events or expertise as they see fit.
4. She is Vice-President of Black Employee Network of the World's No.2 on the Fortune 500 List.
5. Her concluded "Finance Friday" series on Instagram defined high-level financial topics in bitsized, relatable explanations as part of a campaign for financial literacy for Africans.
6. She uses her online platforms to amplify Black owned brands.
